On Saturday, November 27, a fan named Leonard Cole shared on Instagram a picture of him and the alleged exes from The Hideaway. In the caption, he wrote, "Just ran into my favorite OBX couple … John B and Sarah (Maddie and Chase) Thanks for makin my night! Fans were quick to express their excitement over Chase and Madelyn's reunion. One person in particular wrote, "OMG U GAVE US HOPE." Another exclaimed, "IM CRYING OMG THANK YOU FOR PUBLIC THIS PHOTO." A third added, "CHASELYN FOREVER AND EVER."

Speaking about the outing, Leonard told E! News, "I had a total fanboy moment... It's one of my fav shows and I'm a fan of their characters and their time together as a couple." He added, "They were absolutely kind and gracious and offered a pic. We had a few laughs and drinks. Their connection was comfortable and casual."

Chase and Madelyn have yet to confirm their relationship status. However, a source told E! News that the two "are just friends" despite the sighting.

News about the pair's breakup was first reported by PEOPLE earlier this month. An insider told the publication, "Madelyn and Chase are no longer together... They were trying to work things out privately but broke up a couple of months ago." Another source, meanwhile, claimed, "They are definitely broken up."

The split speculation first emerged in October, when Madelyn and "13 Reasons Why" alum Ross Butler were photographed getting cozy in a restaurant in Milan. They also spent time together on Halloween. However, Madelyn and Ross kept mum when they were pressed about whether they're dating.
