The 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' loves being a part of the new Christmas movie 'Home Sweet Home Alone' except she had to wear ugly feet during the filming.

AceShowbiz - Actress Ellie Kemper loves everything about starring in the new "Home Alone" spin-off movie except the ugly fake feet she had to wear.

The "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" star plays one of the bad guys in Disney+ movie "Home Sweet Home Alone" and she still can't believe she's in the reboot of one of her favourite film classics.

"I love the Macaulay Culkin Home Alone. Who doesn't? It's a classic," she tells "Live with Kelly and Ryan".

"In this version... me and Rob Delaney get to be the robbers, essentially, we get to do the breaking and entering. We're doing it to save our family but we still get to be the bad guys."

She's also thrilled actor Devin Ratray, who played Buzz in the 1990 original, makes a special appearance.

"Devin... makes a cameo in this," she explains. "He plays a police officer and it's so much fun. He's an amazing actor. It was great to be in a scene with him and when I met him I was like, 'It's Buzz!' Very, very cool."

And there's only one thing she didn't enjoy - her prosthetic feet.

"My feet are so beat up (in the film), it's so vile," she says, explaining the movie's wild action scenes might have done some serious damage to her real body parts.

"They're so beaten up... They're... disgusting. They go through the ringer - they're burned, they're iced, they're scraped. But because we wanted to actually protect my feet, so I could walk around all day..., they made this stellar pair of prosthetic feet."

And the best part of having to wear the fake feet turned out to be taking them off.

"It was like having a foot spa when I took them off at the end of the day," she smiles.
