AceShowbiz - Christina Perri is still mourning the death of her baby girl. In a new interview with Self magazine, the "Jar of Hearts" singer opened up about her stuggle coping with a pregnancy loss last year.

"My body was truly, truly broken," the 35-year-old singer told Self magazine on Wednesday, November 24. "One of the hardest parts was having the postpartum body without the baby. Looking like I just had a baby, and not having the baby."

Christina also revealed that she would "get mad" when she looked at herself. "It was a reminder, every time, of not having her," the musician said of her late daughter Rosie.

The Pennsylvania native and her husband, Paul Costabile, were left heartbroken in November 2020 when their baby girl was "born silent", weeks after she was hospitalized with pregnancy complications. "She was born silent after fighting so hard to make it to our world," Christia wrote alongside a photo of her and Paul holding the late infant's hand. "She is at peace now and will live forever in our hearts."

Back in July, Christina talked about "healing" after the loss. "When we lost our daughter last november I thought I would never be ok again," she shared in an Instagram Story post. "I thought I would never laugh or play again or dance again or love again... and for lots of months I didn't."

"But then I started trying to heal and learn how to live with the pain and grief right along side of the love & joy. how to find even the tiniest purpose in our tragedy and to find something to learn and grow from and grow towards [sic]," she continued. "It was so challenging and exhausting, but I can't share enough about the power of inner work and healing."

Christina continued, "One day I'll tell you the whole story. it's a doozy. I kept telling myself it would all be better by the summer. it would all be better by ocean city. I thought if we could just make it to ocean city we would be ok. and it was true. we made it here and we are ok."
