Released on Monday, November 22, the teaser for the Shonda Rhimes' series sees Julia as Anna Delvey a.k.a. Anna Sorokin, the infamous social climber who claims to be a German heiress.

AceShowbiz - Julia Garner wows everyone with her amazing transformation into Anna Delvey. Fans were treated to the first look at Julia as NYC's biggest con woman in the first teaser for Shonda Rhimes' "Inventing Anna" which will arrive on Netflix.

Released on Monday, November 22, the teaser sees Julia as Anna, whose real name is Anna Sorokin. The infamous social climber, who claims to be a German heiress, can be seen enjoying luxurious life alongside New York's elite.

However, journalist Vivian (Anna Chlumsky) believes that Anna has more things to hide. She starts investigating the case of Anna, who broke into the circle of New York's social scene only to steal its money and trust.

At one point, one of Anna's victims shares her account. "I want to tell you about my friend Anna. I think she is a con woman," so she says, while Julia's Anna can be seen exiting a luxury hotel in confidence.

Inspired by the New York Magazine article "How an Aspiring 'It' Girl Tricked New York's Party People -- and its Banks," "Inventing Anna" follows notorious fraudster Anna Delvey who scammed hundreds of thousands of dollars. "But is Anna New York's biggest con woman, or is she simply the new portrait of the American dream?" the Netflix synopsis ponders.

Anna was convicted in 2019 of grand larceny and other raps for stealing $200,000 from businesses. She was also accused of fraudulently trying to score a $22 million loan to launch a Manhattan art club. She, however, denied having ill will when she scammed around, saying in an September interview, "I never had a fraudulent intent … And I guess that's what should really count. I would like to show the world that I'm not this dumb, greedy person that they portrayed me to be."

"Inventing Anna" also stars Laverne Cox, Arian Moayed, Katie Lowes, Alexis Floyd, Anders Holm, Anna Deavere Smith, Jeff Perry and Terry Kinney. The show premieres February 11 on Netflix.
