The 'F9' actress has been officially announced as a special honoree for the upcoming 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards which will take place in February next year.

AceShowbiz - Dame Helen Mirren is set for another major acting trophy - the great Brit will receive this year's Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Life Achievement Award.

The honour will be presented during the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony on 27 February (22).

The Oscar-winning "The Queen" star is currently filming "Golda", in which she portrays Israel's first female prime minister Golda Meir, and she is also set to host competition show "Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses", which debuts in America on 28 November (21).

"I am honoured to have been chosen to receive the SAG Life Achievement Award," the actress says. "Since I was a young actor starting out, I have always been inspired by and learned from American screen acting, so this award is particularly meaningful for me."

SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher adds, "Dame Helen Mirren is quite simply a brilliant and luminous talent. Her work runs the gamut of characters from a not-so-retired CIA super-killer and a ruthless Russian spy handler to a Hungarian cleaning lady and the most exquisite Elizabeth II. She has set the bar very high for all actors and, in role after role, she exceeds even her own extraordinary performances..."

"It is my deep, personal honor to be the first to congratulate Helen as the 57th recipient of the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award."

Helen Mirren recently starred in "F9" and will soon follow it up with war drama "White Bird: A Wonder Story" and superhero blockbuster "Shazam! Fury of the Gods".
