When defending her fiance from people questioning his intention, the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' regular insists that he didn't propose to her for public attention.

AceShowbiz - Teresa Giudice refused to be bullied over her relationship with Luis "Louie" Ruelas. Finding their engagement being trolled by social media users, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" regular urged critics to "mind your business."

The 49-year-old reality star and her then-boyfriend got engaged in October after one year of dating. Some people, however, seemed displeased with the news, thinking that the couple moved too fast.

Now, when speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Teresa took an opportunity to hit back at the haters. "Please mind your business," she said in a message for the trolls. "You should want someone to be happy, because if you want someone else to be happy, then happiness comes to you. I'm about that. I'm not about ever hurting someone or tearing them down or anything like that."

The TV personality went on to defend her fiance from people who questioned his intention with her. "I know people make all these judgments and say all these things on social media regarding him. Like he wants to be on TV. He so does not want to be on TV. It's so not his thing," she pointed out.

"If anything, he's supporting me, but it's really not his thing," the Bravo personality stressed. "And the craziest things that they say, like he planned to meet me that day. No, he didn't even know who I was, and he's never been at the Jersey Shore, that was his first time. And it's crazy."

"I wish people would just leave us alone," she continued arguing. "Anybody that's negative, just please leave us alone. Because first of all, they're never going to destroy our happiness, just leave it at that. It's never going to happen. And I'm a very strong, strong individual. If everyone doesn't know that, I am. And if they knock me down, I'll get right back up."

Teresea went on to note that Louie had never faced "public scrutiny" before. "[It] is sad, and this is not something he signed up for," she lamented. "He just signed up for, he met me, we fell in love, and that was it. And I feel bad, so I'll do anything I can to protect him."

Teresa confirmed her romance with Louie in November 2020. They later got engaged on October 19 this year. As for Teresa, she was previously married to Joe Giudice, with whom she shares four daughters. They called it quits after 20 years of marriage and their divorce was finalized last September.
