The singer's adoptive mother Dr. Yvonne Cole reveals on Facebook that her husband Leon Cole passed away after being hospitalized due to COVID-19 complications.

AceShowbiz - The cause of death of Keyshia Cole's adoptive father has been revealed. The singer's adoptive mother, Dr. Yvonne Cole, divulged that her husband Leon Cole died from COVID-19 complications.
Yvonne issued an official statement on her Facebook page. "With a heart of sadness and sincere condolences, we solicit your prayers for Dr. Yvonne Cole and the Cole family in the passing of Mr. Leon Cole, Jr." the message read, along with a picture of Leon.
"You are welcome to leave your prayers and any heart warming [sic] messages as they deal with the passing of Mr. Leon Cole Jr, due to COVID 19 complications. We appreciate the support for our family from around the world," the statement continued. "In leu of flowers, donations can be sent to $dryvonnecole."
Earlier this month, Yvonne divulged that Leon was hospitalized. "Mr. Cole is currently experiencing several health challenges due to COVID-19. He's in the ICU. We ask that you send your support, love, well wishes and prayers of comfort and healing to Mr. Cole and his loved ones at this time," the November 7 post stated.
Keyshia confirmed Leon's passing on Sunday, November 14. After a fan tweeted, "@KeyshiaCole I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your father!! I'm praying for you and your family during this difficult time!!" she simply replied, "Thank you," alongside a praying hands emoji.
The "I Should Have Cheated" songstress, who was adopted by Leon and Yvonne when she was two years old, lost her adoptive father just months after her biological mother passed away. Frankie Lons died of overdosed at her Oakland home on July 18 while celebrating her 61th birthday.
Mourning the loss of his mom, Keyshia shared a tribute to her on Instagram days later. "This is so hard man. Can't really even find the words. SMH," lamented alongside pictures of her with her late mom. "I honestly don't even know how to feel. You can never prepare for something like this... Ever!!! but you will be missed."
