AceShowbiz - Caitlyn Jenner opened up about her strained relationship with her ex-wife Kris Jenner. The reality TV star discussed the matter in the Monday's episode of Australia's "Big Brother VIP", saying that she wished to get closer with the momager.
"I would say from my standpoint, our relationship is not as good as it should be," Caitlyn said in the episode. "I don't have any hard feelings towards her. ... I wish it was closer, but it's not."
When asked if Kris has any "misgivings" about her, the 72-year-old former athlete said, "I think that is an understatement." The "I Am Cait" alum went on to say, "Our relationship is okay. I think it could be better just because of the kids. It's always the way when you have that. It's all about how the mother and father, how they get along together. Is it easy? Is it good? Do they see each other? Is there any tension?"
Prior to this, Caitlyn talked about their marriage, which ended in 2013 after 22 years, in her book "The Secrets of My Life". In her memoir, Caitlyn claimed that Kris knew about her "gender issues," a claim which Kris disputed. However, the exes appeared to work on their relationship in April 2021 as Kris decided to help Caitlyn with her career with a YouTube channel.
"Even though I can't make things magically better with us, I'm just here to be supportive," Kris said in an episode of the final season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians". "And I just want her to be happy. So, I was really happy to offer some advice and encouragement over something that she's trying to do."
Kris, who shares daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner with Caitlyn, went on to say, "Believe me, this is not an easy situation but, Cait really does want my advice. So, I think what Cait should do is start doing YouTubes every day."
