The YouTube star and her husband James Westbrook are also being sued by their Halo Beauty business partner, Clark Swanson, for alleged fraud, negligence and breach of fiduciary duty.

AceShowbiz - Tati Westbrook has been forced to shut down her beauty line. Announcing that Tati Beauty is "closing its door," the YouTube star revealed that she took the decision due to the COVID-19 pandemic and her ongoing legal battle.

The internet personality broke the news in a YouTube video she shared on Thursday, November 4. "We are no longer selling products online, and I say that with a heavy heart," she said. "I have loved creating this brand. I had huge goals, dreams, visions for the future."

"COVID hit, and that definitely slowed things down - it slowed the whole world down," Tati added. "And then, of course, you guys are aware of outside litigation that really impacted my life in full. So that kind of T-boned everything, and here we are."

Noting that there's "no drama, no weird hard feelings" and "no scandal" behind her decision to close Tati Beauty, the 39-year-old explained, "There's just timing of the world, and sadly outside litigation had a huge impact." She then concluded, "And that's just my life right now, and I'm hopeful for better days ahead."

The news arrived more than a year after Clark Swanson, her Halo Beauty business partner, filed a lawsuit against her and her husband James Westbrook. Clark accused the couple of fraud, negligence and breach of fiduciary duty.

Tati's lawyer, Douglas Fuchs, has already denied the accusations. "Clark Swanson's lawsuit is meritless... his absurd claim that Tati Westbrook granted him one-third of her name, image and likeness for all time in exchange for a modest initial capital contribution. Swanson's claim is not only baseless, it is offensive and defies common sense," Douglas said in a statement shared to E! News.

"This is particularly true given that Swanson has received millions in profit distributions from Halo Beauty, almost exclusively due to the Westbrooks' efforts," the attorney added. "Tati and James will vigorously defend this lawsuit and are confident that the truth will come out and they will prevail."
