The concert paying tribute to the 'Mamma Mia!' band has been marred by the tragic deaths of two concertgoers after a man fell from the seventh floor at the venue.

AceShowbiz - Two people have died after a man fell from the seventh floor of a concert venue during an ABBA tribute gig.

The incident occurred at the Konsert & Kongress hall in the Swedish city of Uppsala, at around 7 pm local time on Tuesday (02Nov21) evening, with elderly men losing their lives.

Among those are the man who fell, who was in his 80s, and a person in his 60s who was standing below. A third person was hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries.

Magnus Jansson Klarin, a police spokesperson, said, "We received a call about someone having either jumped or fallen from a high altitude."

He said officers were investigating the fall but "currently had no reason to think a crime had been committed in relation to the man's fall," reported The Independent newspaper.

The concert hall was closed by police officials and the gig was cancelled as witnesses at the scene were questioned.

The deaths come just days before ABBA release Voyage, their first new album in more than 40 years, on Friday, and following the tragedy the group delayed the release of the trailer for their upcoming digital concert shows.

The ABBA Voyage account tweeted, "In the light of the tragic news at the tribute concert in Sweden last night, we have decided to hold off on releasing our concert trailer until tomorrow."
