Following his arrest, the former NBA star is hit with charges of resisting an officer without violence, disorderly intoxication and having an open container.

AceShowbiz - Delonte West only spent a night in a Florida prison. The former NBA star, who was arrested for an alleged drunken incident with police, is said to have been released from jail.
According to multiple reports, the 38-year-old was taken into custody at 10:32 P.M. on Tuesday, October 19 in a Palm Beach County jail. He was then released at 5:46 A.M. on Wednesday on bond.
Delonte was booked after he had an encounter with Boynton Beach police. The athlete reportedly yelled and banged on the glass doors of the police department's lobby while holding open bottles of Icehouse beer and Mango Vodka.
Delonte was then told to put down his drinks. Although he initially complied, he was tased by one officer after he allegedly put his hands inside his pants. When they tried to cuff him, he allegedly "continued to be belligerent and screaming profanities and obscure rants."
The basketball player, who used to play for the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks, has been slapped with several charges. They included resisting an officer without violence, disorderly intoxication and having an open container. He's expected to make a court appearance sometime in November.
The news arrived more than a year after Delonte, who struggled with substance abuse in the past, checked into a rehab. He entered the rehab facility with the help of Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, to try to tackle the issues.
Delonte was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder. When opening up about his mental health issue in a 2015 interview, he explained, "I am bipolar - just like the rest of us in the world... So bipolar is defined as something sad happens, you're sad. Something happy happens, you're happy. I think pretty much everyone in the world is like that. Now there's different levels. How long do you stay sad? How does it affect your behavior? How do you handle these emotions?"
