AceShowbiz - Cardi B won't let trolls poke fun at her ongoing court case. After being told that she's going to jail in connection with her club assault case, the "WAP" hitmaker clapped back at trolls, bragging about breaking new records.
The femcee fired back at haters via Twitter on Tuesday, October 19. After a critic wrote, "You're going to prison," the mother of two was quick to reply, "Before I go to prison you gone see me breakin more records and making more Ms [a tongue emoji]."
Another troll, meanwhile, suggested Cardi to "get best lawyers out there cause yk damn well Offset ain't gon be there for your kids." In response, she shouted back, "My man is allow to be with his kids so what's your point ?"
Not all people were hating on Cardi though. One person came to her defense, saying, "The disrespect is taken to a whole new level. Leave those kids out of your hatred for Cardi." To the tweet, the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker answered, "Exactly! I be chillin I don't know why people think is sweet to play wit my kids."
On Monday, Cardi pleaded not guilty to third-degree assault at the Queens Criminal Court. She's slapped with charges of reckless endangerment and assault after she's allegedly involved in a brawl at a Flushing, Queens strip club in 2018. If convicted, she could face up to four years behind bars.
About the altercation, the "F9" actress allegedly threw bottles at two bartenders inside Angels Strip Club in Queens after being too friendly with her spouse. One of the bartenders, Jade, claimed that the 29-year-old star ordered associates to rough up her and her sister at the club they worked at in New York City.
This was not the first time Cardi turned down a plea deal. Back in 2019, she rejected a plea deal, which included pleading guilty to a misdemeanor with a conditional discharge.
