The 'Beetlejuice' actor thrills fanboys as he returns as the Caped Crusader in the first sneak peek of the upcoming DC superhero movie fronted by Ezra Miller.

AceShowbiz - Michael Keaton is back as Batman - the movie veteran's return to his most iconic role featured in the debut of "The Flash" trailer, which was unveiled as part of DC Fandome on Saturday (16Oct21).

Film bosses and directors used the virtual event to tease upcoming DC Comics movies, including "The Batman" and "Black Adam", but it was Keaton's voice as Bruce Wayne's alter ego in "The Flash", which grabbed most fans' attention.

Keaton will be playing an older version of Batman, the character he first played in 1989, in the new film.

"The Flash" star Ezra Miller introduced the clip during the virtual event, telling fans, "We wanted to show you a teaser, but we can't, because we don't have enough material to make the teaser yet."

He went on to call the clip he offered up a "sneak peek."

"You changed the future... and you changed the past," Keaton could be heard telling Miller's The Flash as he finds a broken Batman mask lying on the ground with a trail of blood near it while he explores a warehouse.

Keaton's face isn't seen in the teaser.

Other DC Fandome highlights included an early clip from Dwayne Johnson's new film "Black Adam" while TV's The Flash, Grant Gustin, was on hand to show off his character's new costume - complete with golden boots - for the upcoming eighth season of his hit show.

Jason Momoa also showed up to offer behind-the-scenes footage from his upcoming sequel, "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom", along with other cast and crew members.

"I apologise for the four-year wait," he joked. "I love this character and what he represents."

His film clips included footage of Amber Heard as Mera and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as villain Black Manta.

Wrestler and actor John Cena was also part of the DC Comics preview event, introducing footage from his upcoming HBO Max series "Peacemaker" - a spin-off for his recent Suicide Squad character, and "In The Heights" star Leslie Grace offered up a taste of her new Batgirl movie, stating, "Every step of this process, I can't believe this is happening."

Meanwhile, filmmaker Ava DuVernay made an appearance at DC Fandome to introduce her futuristic upcoming limited series "DMZ", starring comic book buff Rosario Dawson and Benjamin Bratt.

Highlights also included footage from "Shazam! Fury of the Gods", and a chat with "Wonder Woman 3" director Patty Jenkins alongside star Lynda Carter, who previously played the character on TV.

Jenkins confirmed work on the latest sequel had started and Gal Gadot would be returning as the ageless Wonder Woman. The filmmaker also revealed "Wonder Woman 3" will likely be her final film with the franchise.

Batman fans were also treated to an explosive new trailer for the highly-anticipated "The Batman", starring a manic Robert Pattinson as the new Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as the sinister The Riddler, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.
