The 'Bad Habits' hitmaker also teams up with Chris Martin and his bandmates to deliver 'Shape Of You' and 'Shivers' at the event taking place at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran delighted fans when he joined Coldplay at a show in London on Tuesday night, October 12. The "Bad Habits" hitmaker joined Chris Martin and his bandmates for their Shepherd's Bush Empire album launch show in London and shared vocals on their 2005 hit "Fix You".

Coldplay returned the favor by accompanying Sheeran as he played 2017's "Shape Of You" and his latest single, "Shivers". Happy audience members shared videos of the moment to Twitter, with one writing, "OMG. ED SHEERAN came out of nowhere for Fix You!"

The set was staged to promote the "Yellow" stars' new album, "Music of the Spheres", which is out on Friday, October 15.

Coldplay will also stage a two-day immersive event in London, dubbed The Atmospheres, starting on Friday. Thanks to Amazon Music, the event will also be taking place in New York, Tokyo and Berlin.

The event was described as a "custom-built installation [where] fans will be transported to The Spheres - the distant solar system that plays host to the band's latest album, where each of the twelve tracks is twinned with a different planet."

The band is also planning a week-long music residency on American late night chat program "The Late Late Show With James Corden". Along with Sheeran, they were also listed as headliners for Prince William's inaugural Earthshot Prize Awards that will took place at London's Alexandra Palace on October 17.

The ceremony rewarding those working to make a real difference to the planet will be hosted by Clara Amfo and Dermot O'Leary. It will be aired on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and globally on Discovery's Facebook page. Discovery+ will also stream it from October 19.
