When leaving Lost Hills police station, the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion is seen pumping his fist into the air as he enters a car awaiting his arrival.

AceShowbiz - Chuck Liddell has opened up about his domestic violence arrest. In a new interview, the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion insisted that he was the victim and accused his wife of assault.

"Last night the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department deputies who responded were professional. While the information about this case will be revealed in due course, I believe it is important to convey and clarify a few facts about the situation," the 51-year-old wrote in a statement he shared on his Instagram page on Monday, October 11. "I was the victim of the incident last night at our family home, as details of the case will reveal."

Chuck went on to share that "the deputies informed [him] that [his] wife would be arrested." The former UFC star further detailed, "As I did not respond to her assault while I sustained bruising and lacerations. I volunteered to go in her place."

"This was one of the many times I have tried to shield a family mental health issue from the public purview," his statement continued to read. "It has become painfully apparent that this cannot continue, as our private life has now reached a public breaking point." He went on to ask the public, "Please respect our privacy as I help to navigate our family through this difficult time."

Chuck was arrested on early Monday after authorities determined he had been involved in a physical argument with his wife Heidi Northcott at his Hidden Hills home. The authorities explained that they responded to a call at his home "regarding a family disturbance."

"Upon arrival deputies determined Chuck Liddell and his wife had been involved in a physical altercation," the sheriff's department stated. "Mr. Liddell was arrested for domestic battery." Following the altercation, his wife reportedly did not require any medical attention.

As for Chuck, he was taken into custody with bail set at $20,000. Later that day, however, Chuck was released from jail. When he walked out of the Lost Hills sheriff's department, the martial artist could be seen pumping his fist into the air as he entered a Mercedes-Benz awaiting his arrival in a video obtained by TMZ.
