While some fans quickly notice the 'Mission: Impossible' star at the Dodger game, some others doubt that that it's the real actor and suspect that it's his doppelganger instead due to his different face.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Tom Cruise has some explaining to do to his fans following his recent sighting in San Francisco. The actor has sparked questions about his face as he's almost unrecognizable with his puffy face when he was spotted on rare outing with his son Connor.

On Saturday, October 9, the 59-year-old was enjoying a night out at Game 2 of the National League Division Series with his second child, whom he shares with his ex Nicole Kidman. When captured on camera, he flashed a smile and waved his hand before he turned around to greet his fans on the back.

While the audience members were seemingly quick to recognize him at the field, social media users doubted that it was him. After video and photos of the "Jack Reacher" star at the game hit the web, some people speculated that it was his doppelganger instead.

"That is not Tom Cruise. This guy is on TikTok and is milking it for all he can," one person suggested. Another doubtful user claimed, "I don't think that's Cruise." A third exclaimed, "Not @TomCruise ! No way ..," while someone else tried to argue, "I don't believe that's him at all. His hair color isn't even the same."

Some others questioned Tom's different look during the outing, with one asking, "What's up with the bloated chipmunk cheeks?" Another accused the action movie star of going under the knife as writing, "What he do to his face, same doctor as Wayne Newton?"

"What the hell is going on with his face?? Is he having an allergic reaction??" someone wondered, while another person weighed in, "Tom has done something to his face or he has gained some weight. But that is our Tom !"

Unlike those speculators, however, fans attributed his age to his different look. "First video I've ever seen of him where he looks somewhat older," one person acknowledged. Another defended the star, "Well he's 59 what do you expect? I'll take if I ever make it there." Agreeing, one other wrote back to the naysayers, "What's wrong with it? He's gotten older, smiling. Looks normal to me."
