The 'Looming Tower' actor is set to narrate a new documentary that offers rare insight into the decision making at the White House after the horrific terrorist attack.

AceShowbiz - Jeff Daniels is to narrate a new 9/11 documentary for Apple.

"911: Inside the President's War Room" chronicles the 2001 terrorist attacks on America from the viewpoint of George W. Bush and his advisers.

The film will recount the 12 hours after the first plane hit the World Trade Center, offering rare insight into the decision making at the White House.

The documentary will debut on Apple TV+ and BBC One in September (21) to mark the 20th anniversary of the attack.

The documentary will feature never-before-heard testimony with the President, Vice President Dick Cheney, and a number of top U.S. officials. It will also include nearly 200 never-previously-published pictures as photographers followed every move of Bush and Cheney that day, as well as filmed archive.

Jeff Daniels previously starred in miniseries "The Looming Tower". It traced the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda, and took a controversial look at how the rivalry between the CIA and FBI may have inadvertently set the stage for the tragedy of 9/11 and the war in Iraq.

The actor was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie at the 70th annual Primetime Emmy Awards while co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was up for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie and director Craig Zisk for Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special.

"When I was first approached about The Looming Tower, I was stunned because I had no idea this had happened. I was completely unaware of the story behind what led to 9/11," Daniels previously said.

The star was last seen on the big screen last year in drama movie titled "Adam" fronted by Aaron Paul.

In 2020, he also narrated historical miniseries "Washington" and starred in political miniseries "The Comey Rule" about FBI director James Comey in the run-up to the 2016 election.
