The 'Shape of You' hitmaker is back at the top spot on U.K. singles chart with his comeback music, ending Olivia Rodrigo's 'Good 4 U' domination on the list.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran has taken his comeback track "Bad Habits" to the top of the U.K. singles chart.

The pop star picks up his 10th number one in his homeland, becoming only the ninth act in countdown history to score 10 or more chart-toppers.

His latest feat ties him with Eminem and Calvin Harris, who also boast 10 number one singles to date.

However, Sheeran hopes his reign will be short-lived, as he's eager for the England soccer team's unofficial anthem, "Three Lions (Football's Coming Home)" by The Lightning Seeds, David Baddiel, and Frank Skinner, to take over the top spot next week (11Jul21) if the national team makes it through to the Euro 2020 finals.

"I want to say thank you so much to everyone that made this happen," he told OfficialCharts.com. "I've been away for such a long time and I really, really don't take this for granted, this is an amazing thing. Thank you for making me feel the love."

"Hopefully next week it will be knocked off the number one spot by Three Lions because we're going to win the Euros. It's coming home!"

"Bad Habits" knocks Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" down to second place while The Weeknd's "Save Your Tears" holds steady at three.

Meanwhile, singer Jack Savoretti is celebrating after "Europiana" entered at number one in the albums chart.

Rodrigo's "Sour" falls to two as Doja Cat enters at three with "Planet Her".
