AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X shows off his side as a Marvel fan as he unveils a new trailer for his upcoming album "MONTERO". On Tuesday, June 29, the Grammy-winning rapper took to his Twitter account to share the trailer which saw him spoofing the opening credit of Marvel movies.

The 53-second video opens with a mashup of some of the rapper's most memorable moments. Among them are snippets from the musician's music videos and red carpet appearances. That is apparently his attemp to recreate Marvel's opening theme in which their extensive lineup of superheroes are put on display.

The camera then zooms out to reveal the "Montero" title. Before the video concludes, the cinematic music is then replaced by blaring horns which marks the transition into the rapper's new single.

Aside from the trailer, Lil Nas X didn't offer more details about his debut album. Based on the title, his single "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" is likely to be featured in the upcoming effort. "Montero" will follow Lil Nas X's 2019 EP "7" which was released back in June 2019.

Lil Nas X recently sparked chatter with his performance at the 2021 BET Awards in which he kissed one of his male dancers. Firing back at trolls criticizing his performance, the MC wrote on Twitter, "Y'all hate yourselves so much. y'all live your lives trying your best to appease straight ppl. y'all are uncomfortable with what i do because y'all are afraid they will be uncomfortable with you. work on yourselves, i love who i am and whatever i decide to do. get there."

"we are 4 months in and people are still acting surprised that i am being gay and sexual in performances of a song about gay and sexual s**t," he added. "like the song is literally about gay sex what y'all want me to do play the piano while baking a cake?"
