Former First Lady Michelle Obama takes to Twitter to share her condolences with POTUS and his entire family after he announces the death of their German Shepherd.

AceShowbiz - Joe Biden and Jill Biden have just lost their "cherished" family dog. When announcing that Champ died at the age of 13, the President and First Lady stated that they "will miss him always."
The couple offered their tributes to Champ via Twitter and Instagram on Saturday, June 19. Sharing the snap of the canine, they wrote, "Our hearts are heavy today as we let you all know that our beloved German Shepherd, Champ, passed away peacefully at home. He was our constant, cherished companion during the last 13 years and was adored by the entire Biden family."
"Even as Champ's strength waned in his last months, when we came into a room, he would immediately pull himself up, his tail always wagging, and nuzzle us for an ear scratch or a belly rub. Wherever we were, he wanted to be, and everything was instantly better when he was next to us," the pair recalled. "He loved nothing more than curling up at our feet in front of a fire at the end of the day, joining us as a comforting presence in meetings, or sunning himself in the White House garden."
"In his younger days, he was happiest chasing golf balls on the front lawn of the Naval Observatory or racing to catch our grandchildren as they ran around our backyard in Delaware. In our most joyful moments and in our most grief-stricken days, he was there with us, sensitive to our every unspoken feeling and emotion," they concluded their statements. "We love our sweet, good boy and will miss him always."
Also mourning the death of Champ was Bidens' eldest grandchild, Naomi Biden. Turning to her own Instagram account, Naomi put out a photo of Champ and another dog playing in the snow on the White House lawn. She captioned it, "Rest easy sweet Champ. We love you forever, we'll miss you for always."
Upon hearing the sad news, former First Lady Michelle Obama shared her condolences with the Bidens. "Champ was such a good boy, and we know how much he meant to your family over the years. Barack and I are sending all our love to you, @POTUS, and the entire Biden family," she penned on Twitter.
Joe got Champ from a Pennsylvania breeder when the dog was three months old, shortly after he was elected as Vice President of the United States. Aside from Champ, he and wife Jill have a younger German Shepherd called Major, the first dog rescued from an animal shelter to live at the White House.
