AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has addressed swirling claims that she is dating Van Jones following her split from Kanye West. In a new interview, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star sets the record straight on her relationship status.
When making an appearance in part 1 of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" reunion special which aired on Thursday, June 17, the SKIMS founder discussed the romance speculation between her and the CNN host as well as Colombian singer Maluma. "No, I'm not dating either one," the 40-year-old confirmed to host Andy Cohen. "Not Van Jones. Not Maluma."
"I've seen [Maluma] a few times, always in Miami. Such a nice guy. So nice," Kim explained further. The daughter of Kris Jenner went on to say about Van, "Van texted me and was like, 'This rumor has gotten me so many dates, so I owe you,' " and laughed.
During an with Ellen DeGeneres in May, Van was asked about Kim. "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" host didn't specifically bring up the dating rumors, but she asked the 52-year-old reporter to comment on the reality TV star's journey to become a lawyer.
"She's doing amazing," he gushed. "She has used her platform to help people behind bars. Her dad was a lawyer, she's always wanted to be a lawyer. [She] got a taste of what she could do using her platform, using her brain, and she hasn't let up. I think she's going to be an unbelievable attorney and she's already one of the best advocates that we have in criminal justice."
Kim was rumored to be dating Van back in January amid speculations that she was ready to end her marriage to her now-estranged husband Kanye. It was unclear where the dating claims originated from, but the reality star met the political commentator at Variety and Rolling Stone's Criminal Justice Reform Summit in 2018.
Amid the split from Kanye, Kim seemed to be focused on herself and her four children. In May, a source close to the reality star told ET, "Kim is really focused on her family at this time." The source continued, "Kim has been with the kids majority of the time. The kids and her enjoy doing outdoor activities together and they all spend a ton of time with their cousins. Kim loves keeping them busy, creative, and on the go."
The source further stated that Kim "is continuing to be a great mom and focusing on work." Claiming that the mother of four "is back to feeling like herself again" and "is in a great headspace," the source elaborated, "She has a ton of upcoming projects that she is super excited about. Her life is definitely on the upswing."
