The High Flying Birds star is willing to let go of his music publishing rights to get the money he needs in order to purchase a mega yacht and sail around the world.

AceShowbiz - Noel Gallagher plans to sell his publishing rights and sail around the world on a super-yacht.

The musician intends to sell his Oasis back catalogue to fund his lavish ambitions, rather than leaving his fortune to his kids.

Noel - who has Anais, 21, Donovan, 13, and Sonny, 10 - told Matt Morgan's "Funny How?" podcast, "(Bob) Dylan just sold his back catalogue. Hedge fund guys are buying them up."

"All my songs come to me in 2025. You get an extraordinary amount of money and then they pop up in McDonald's adverts for the rest of time. What do you do? Leave it to your kids?"

"They don't value music. Or do you take the £200 million ($279 million) and buy the super-yacht and the Learjet and go, 'F**king have it, come on.' I think the latter."

"I'm getting a super-yacht, I'm gonna call it Mega Mega White Thing. I'm gonna spend a year at sea."

"People can come and visit. I'll be flying out my hairdresser, Neil, and paying £40,000 (£55,750) for a haircut. I'll have a chef."

Noel Gallagher also previously said he would jump at the chance of reforming his band with estranged brother Liam if they were offered a big sum. "If anybody wants to offer me £100 million now, I'll say it now, I'll do it. I'll do it for £100 million," he said.

However, he's not really looking forward to reuniting with Liam Gallagher, "Not particularly no. It's a different band. It's a different thing."
