The seven fan-funded billboards, some located on Broadway and West End Avenue, are in reference to the backlash that the 'Whiskey Glasses' singer has faced following his N-word controversy.

AceShowbiz - Morgan Wallen's fans have their own unique way to support him. Ahead of the 2021 CMT Music Awards, the "Whiskey Glasses" singer's devotees placed seven huge billboards across Nashville, Tennessee with a special message for the music industry.

The billboards, which are located in high-traffic areas on Broadway and West End Avenue, featured an outline of the 28-year-old crooner's mullet. Along with the silhouette of his face, there was a note that read, "The fans are speaking. Enough is Enough. Music industry we want to be heard!"

The design also featured the embattled country star's signature word "GAHT", as well as "Mark 11:25", which is a reference to a bible verse about forgiveness. It was stated that "Darleen Ingram and loyal fans" were the ones who paid for the billboards.

This marked at least the third time fans paid for billboards in support of Morgan. They first funded six billboards in Nashville just before the ACM Awards in April. In the following month, they bought a billboard in Los Angeles to boycott the Billboard Music Awards.

The outpouring support came after Morgan landed in hot water in late January as he was caught using the N-word. Though so, he apologized in the following month by saying on Instagram, "Obviously the natural thing to do is apologize further and just continue to apologize but because you got caught and that's not what I wanted to do... My words matter. My words can truly hurt a person and at my core, that's not what I'm okay with."

The scandal led Morgan to be banned from Billboard Music Awards. Still, it did not prevent him from winning several awards from the event. He managed to take home three trophies for Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist and Top Country Album, the latest of which was for his sophomore project "Dangerous: The Double Album".
