Preemptively shutting down potential backlash, the '19 Kids and Counting' alum assures her followers that though she has kept the milk in her freezer 'for nearly a couple years,' her dog Fenna 'is fine.'

AceShowbiz - Jill Duggar has tried to get ahead of potential criticism she might receive online after revealing her odd choice of dog's food. When revealing that she just fed her dog with leftover breast milk, which she has kept "for nearly a couple years," the "19 Kids and Counting" alum went on to tell people to "chill."

On Saturday, June 5, the TV personality shared an Instagram photo of her rescue dog, Fenna, licking some breast milk from a green bowl. "Before any of you jump on me for feeding it to the dog, she's fine. She's totally fine," the 30-year-old captioned the post. She pointed out further, "I wouldn't have given it to her if i thought it would make her sick," adding, "So just chill mkay?!"

In the caption, Jill explained that she "had [her] last teeny bottle of breast milk" pulled out from the freezer "for nearly a couple years now" as both of her sons, 3-year-old Samuel Scott and 6-year-old Israel David, had stopped breastfeeding. "I know I know...it's probably a freezer-burnt nutrition-less substance now…," she continued to tell her followers.

"Well, Sam randomly asked to try it recently and it didn't look or smell bad when I thawed it out so i let him try it. As expected, he didn't like it after trying a couple of sips," Jill offered more details. "Needless to say, now all 3 of my children have now had breast milk," she joked. She then concluded her caption as writing, "Anyone else feels sentimental about their 'liquid gold'? Whoever coined the phrase, 'no use crying over spilled milk' certainly never pumped!"

Jill and her husband Derick Dillard adopted Fenna in February this year from a local shelter. "After being cooped up for a while with the big winter storm and school still out for Israel, we decided to go visit some animals at the shelter!" the "Counting On" alum captioned a YouTube video on her family channel showing herself, her 31-year-old husband and her children visiting an animal shelter to pick out their new dog.

"We love animals and always enjoy visiting them in any environment...at pet stores, the zoo, watching videos online and checking out different dog breeds," Jill continued in her note. Unable to hide her excitement over the pooches, she added "But we didn't expect this to happen!"
