On the new iteration of the hit comedy series, a new character is introduced as Laci Mosley has been tapped to join the cast to play a character named Harper, Carly's roommate and new best friend.

AceShowbiz - Paramount has unveiled the first trailer for upcoming "iCarly" reboot. Arriving on Tuesday, June 1, the video sees Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) returning alongside her friends following an almost 10-year hiatus.

The trailer opens with clips from the original series while the beloved theme song plays. Later, using a PearPhone, her friend Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress) is seen filming Carly who says, "Welcome to the new iCarly!"

Carly can also be seen enlisting and brother Spencer Shay (Jerry Trainor)'s help to revive her web show. "We'll help however we can," Spencer says, to which Carly replies, "I'm really glad to hear you say that."

Carly then reveals a baby box to the two, much to Spencer's horror. Reenacting a scene from the original series, Carly is seen putting what looks like to be whipped cream all over her brother's face as he pretends to be a baby inside the baby box. "I don't think this is how you do it!" he yells.

On the new iteration of the series, a new character is also introduced. Laci Mosley joins the cast as Harper, Carly's roommate and new best friend. Carly is also going on dates with someone that Harper recommends to her.

Jennette McCurdy, who played Carly's rambunctious best friend Sam Puckett on the original series, will not be returning to the revival as she recently announced that she had quit acting.

The revival is produced by Nickelodeon Studios and Awesomeness. Jay koden and Ali Schouten executive produce the show with the later writing the pilot. Miranda also serves as executive producer, while Jerry and Alissa Vradenburg serve as producers. Phill Lewis, who famously portrayed Mr. Moseby on Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody", directed the pilot in addition to joining the team as executive producer.

The first three episodes of the 13-episode first season are set to premiere on June 17 on Paramount Plus. The rest of the episodes will air weekly on the streaming platform.
