After going through nine different egg donors, the former NSYNC member and his husband announce their pregnancy with a Halloween-themed movie trailer video.

AceShowbiz - Lance Bass and Michael Turchin are soon going to be parents, not to just one, but two babies at the same time. After years of surrogacy attempts, the former NSYNC member and his husband are "very excited" to be expecting twins, which will be their first children.

The singer's rep confirmed the pregnancy to E! News, informing that the pair, who tied the knot in 2014, are "very excited on becoming a family of four!" The happy couple also told PEOPLE on Tuesday, June 1 that they will be welcoming a son and a daughter via surrogate.

"It has been quite the journey," Lance admitted to PEOPLE. Michael then opened up about their struggle with surrogacy, "We went through nine different egg donors, which is rare. We got all the way down the path of about to retrieve their eggs. Some just wouldn't produce enough eggs, some weren't good genetic matches." The 34-year-old actor added, "If you're going to be a match, you don't want to even risk it."

Lance went on to reflect on the past miscarriage, saying, "When we were pregnant last year, our surrogate miscarried while being pregnant with twins. When you fast forward and be like, 'Oh, what's the wedding going to be like? Oh, if they're going to have kids, I'm going to be a grandparent?' You just automatically put this in your head." He then stressed that "it's very disappointing when that dream gets popped."

"Because of what we've been through the last four years, we were very cautious to get excited," Lance claimed. On the reasons why, the "It's Gonna Be Me" singer elaborated, "And it kind of sucks because when you find out you're pregnant, you want to celebrate with your family. You start planning their future in your head already, but we were so scared because we didn't want to go through the pain again of losing them."

Elsewhere in the interview, Lance revealed that the babies will be due in early November. However, the "Bye Bye Bye" singer hoped they would come in time for Halloween. "I need them to get here before Halloween, because I need them to be Halloween babies. They have no choice but to love Halloween because I'm obsessed and they're going to be obsessed," he joked.

"I love Halloween," Lance spilled to the outlet. The 42-year-old singer added, "When I found out that they were going to be coming at Halloween, I immediately thought, 'Our baby announcement has to be some kind of Halloween theme. Maybe we should do a movie trailer, a horror movie trailer where we don't actually say it. You have to figure it out.' And so that's what we did."

Lance then took to his TikTok account to tease the pregnancy with a Halloween-themed video that looked like a movie trailer. Directed by his friend Colton Tran, who is a horror film director, they finished the clip "within three days."
