Introducing the full new superhero squad, the official sneak peek of the upcoming movie hints at the Eternals' long history on Earth and their roles in the community.

AceShowbiz - Marvel has finally debuted the first teaser trailer for "Eternals" after previewing it in short footage and several promo pictures. Making its way out online, the video introduces the full new squad of superheroes, which include Thena (Angelina Jolie), Sersi (Gemma Chan), Ikaris (Richard Madden), Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Sprite (Lia McHugh), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), Druig (Barry Keoghan), Gilgameh (Don Lee a.k.a. Ma Dong Soek) and Ajak (Salma Hayek).

The teaser trailer shows the Eternals' arrival and their long history on Earth. Having quietly helped humanity progress without interfering directly for years, the immortal aliens plan to step into the spotlight after events of "Avengers: Endgame".

The movie's connection to the latest "Avengers" film is made clear with a joke toward the end of the video as they raise an issue about who will lead the Avengers now that Iron Man and Captain America are "gone." Ikaris jests, "I could lead them," which is met with laughter by his peers.

The teaser trailer also features Ikaris and Sersi in a wedding scene and gives a first look at Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, a human warrior who wields a mystical sword. Thena shows off her super power before all the heroes suit up in their battle costumes while standing on the shore.

The sentimental teaser is aptly set to the tune of "The End of the World" by Skeeter Davis.

"Eternals", based on Marvel comics of the same name, centers on an immortal alien race created by the Celestials who have secretly lived on Earth for over 7,000 years. After an unexpected tragedy following the events of "Avengers: Endgame", they reunite to protect humanity from their evil counterparts, the Deviants.

The movie is directed by Chloe Zao, who also teamed up with Patrick Burleigh to pen the screenplay. The first installment of Marvel's planned new superhero film franchise is set to hit U.S. theaters on November 5.
