The 22-year-old daughter of the late TV naturalist Steve Irwin announced her happy news in a post on Instagram on Tuesday (11Aug20), alongside a snap of herself and Chandler holding a toddler-sized uniform from Australia Zoo, the wildlife attraction run by her mum Terri.
"Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021," she captioned the image. "Chandler and I are proud to announce that we're expecting! It's an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you."
"Though I'm still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn't wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us. Chandler added in the comments, "You're going to be the best mother."
The announcement comes a week after Bindi marked the first anniversary of her new husband's proposal on her 21st birthday. The pair tied the knot in March at Australia Zoo in a private ceremony limited to only six guests due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
