AceShowbiz - DeSean Jackson has broken his silence following the backlash he received for posting a fake Hitler quote packed with anti-semitic tone. Realizing his mistake, the Philadelphia Eagles player issued an apology to the Jewish community and promised to educate himself better so that things like that would not happen again in the future.

He seemed to be feeling sorry that he had to post his apology twice. In an Instagram video, DeSean said, "I post things on my story all the time, and just probably never should have posted anything that Hitler did, because Hitler was a bad person, and I know that. I was just trying to uplift African-Americans, and slavery, and just enlighten my people." He also insisted that he never hate anyone nor tried to put another religion down.

In the caption of the video, DeSean admitted it was a mistake to post the passage knowing that Hitler had caused terrible pain for the Jewish community. "We should be together fighting anti-Semitism and racism. This was a mistake to post this and I truly apologize for posting it and sorry for any hurt I have caused," he said.

Later, in another statement, DeSean doubled down on his apology. "My intention was to uplift, unite and encourage our culture with positivity and light. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I unintentionally hurt the Jewish community in the process and for that I am sorry!" the NFL star wrote. "This apology is more than just words -- it is a promise to do better. I will fully educate myself and work with local and national organizations to be more informed and make a difference in our community."

His team, Philadelphia Eagles, has also addressed this issue, saying that they are continuing to evaluate the circumstances and will take appropriate action.

DeSean was criticized for posting a fake Hitler quote and highlight the anti-semitic part. It read, "The will extort America, their plan for world domination won't work if the Negroes know who they were."
