The 'Rather Be' singer reveals an 'embarrassing' incident where she and her friend were denied entry to an upscale sushi restaurant for wearing casual attire.

AceShowbiz - Jess Glynne took to Instagram on Monday night (06Jul20) to slam London sushi restaurant Sexy Fish for turning her away because of her casual attire.

The "Rather Be" star shared a snap of herself wearing a hooded jumper, sweatpants and sneakers in the mirror of a toilet, and wrote alongside it that the ensemble had led to an embarrassing encounter at the first eatery she and her friend tried to go to

"Dear @sexyfishlondon I turned up to your restaurant looking like this and you looked me and my friend up and down and said no you can't come in and your restaurant was EMPTY," she wrote. "I then went to @amazonicolondon who greeted me and my friend with pure joy and we had a banging meal with wicked service. @sexyfishlondon please check yourself if this is how you treat people cause it's rude, off putting, embarrassing and most definitely not inviting."

"We were made to wait and 2 members of staff came to look at us and make a decision based on our appearance. I think the attitude of your staff needs to change as that was pure discrimination. Thanks and bye."

While some of Jess' fans were sympathetic to her tale, others were less so, and pointed out that Sexy Fish has a strict dress code which is clearly explained on their website in a note which reads, "We request that guests do not wear sportswear, beachwear, ripped jeans, flip flops, sliders or workout trainers (smarter, fashion trainers may be permitted)."
