Colin Trevorrow is reportedly developing a big-screen project about the mythical lost city of Atlantis with the screenplay written by 'Alien: Covenant' scribe.

AceShowbiz - Colin Trevorrow, the director of the "Jurassic World" franchise, is set to explore the mythical city of Atlantis in a new film.

The flimmaker has written the story with "Bridge of Spies" ' Matt Charman while the screenplay will be penned by "Alien: Covenant" writer Dante Harper. While previous onscreen ventures have depicted the city as an underwater kingdom, the latest production is set on a lost continent in the Indian Ocean between Africa, India, and Oceania.

The project, in development since 2018, will team Trevorrow with production designer Kevin Jenkins, the brains behind the set of the upcoming "Jurassic World: Dominion".
