AceShowbiz - The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins is recovering after a freak swimming pool accident.
The "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" singer was trying to fix a pool problem at his home in Switzerland when a pump reportedly exploded, coating him in chemicals that melted his shorts onto his skin.
"There was a problem with the pool, a pump thing and some chemicals came out of it," the rocker tells Britain's The Sun newspaper."I think it was a PH negative chemical to control the acidity of the pool.
"I was trying to fix it and I touched my legs and my shorts melted onto my legs, so then I had to go to hospital."
