AceShowbiz - Lauren London made an appearance in the Wednesday, June 3 of "Red Table Talk". In the new episode of Jada Pinkett Smith's talk show, Lauren opened up about gun violence in America following the death of her partner Nipsey Hussle, who was killed on March 31, 2019, after he was shot in Los Angeles.

"Just growing up in L.A., in the area that I was around. In high school, a lot of the boys were in gangs, and I remember that a lot of our friends, by summertime they were gone," the actress explained. "They had transitioned from gun violence."

She went on explaining that during her high school days, she made sure she knew where the exit was in case violence broke out. "That's traumatizing. To be 16 years old and having to be on guard when you go into a party," she said.

"What I instill in them is more about the police," Lauren, who is a mother to her sons, Kameron Samuel Ari, who she shares with ex-fiance Lil Wayne and Kross Ermias, who she had with Nipsey, went on to share. "How to handle yourself when you get pulled over. That's more of my education, protecting them being Black men in America."

Of teaching her sons about violence, Lauren said, "What I instill in them is more about the police. How to handle yourself when you get pulled over. That's more of my education, protecting them being black men in America."

Lauren's interview comes after the death of George Floyd, a black man who was suffocated to death by a Minneapolis police officer. The cop put his knee on his neck for several minutes and didn't let go even after the man screamed that he couldn't breath.

George's death sparked outrage with people coming down to street to protest for justice for black people. They also call for the end of police brutality against black people.
