The 'Roses' rapper has decided to cancel his music video shoot and use the money meant for the project to support the activists protesting racial injustice.

AceShowbiz - Rising hip-hop star SAINt JHN has ditched plans to film a music video for his new collaboration with rapper Future in favour of using the budget to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

The pair had been due to get together to shoot a promo for the remix of Saint Jhn's breakout hit "Roses", but the Brooklyn, New York native reveals he decided the money would be better served helping to bail out activists arrested during ongoing U.S.-wide demonstrations following the death of George Floyd, an African-American man who was killed at the hands of a white police officer on May 25, 2020.

In a notepad post on Instagram, Saint Jhn explains he managed to convince Hitco Entertainment co-founder Antonio 'L.A.' Reid to boost his budget from $60,000 to $100,000 and allow him to use the funds as he pleased - and the music mogul obliged.

"I asked him to give me the video budget and don't ask what I'm gonna do with it. He agreed. That's legendary s**t," Saint Jhn wrote. "We should never be afraid to do the right thing!"

He went on to reveal he was bumping the donation up to $125,000 and splitting it between a bail out organisation and "black owned businesses affected right now."

"I don't got no speeches, I ain't a speech n**ga (sic)," the 33 year old declared in the accompanying caption. "People are hurt and I feel them, period."

Saint Jhn joins the likes of The Weeknd, Chrissy Teigen, Steve Carell, and Seth Rogen to pledge donations to bail out protesters.
