The CEO of Twitter has made a $3 million donation to the NFL quarterback's legal defence fund initiative to help the activists arrested during the Black Lives Matter protests.

AceShowbiz - Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, has pledged $3 million to Colin Kaepernick's legal defence fund.

After previously donating $1 billion to Covid-19 relief efforts, Dorsey pledged the funds on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 to the 32-year-old former NFL quarterback’s Know Your Rights Camp.

The fund was established to pay legal fees for protesters who get arrested while fighting for justice for George Floyd.

"$3mm to Colin @Kaepernick7's @yourrightscamp to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization to elevate the next generation of change leaders," the 43-year-old wrote on Twitter.

Colin's Know Your Rights Camp launched a new fund called the Legal Defense Initiative earlier this week, which is aimed at providing resources and assistance to protesters in Minneapolis and other cities that have participated in demonstrations.

Protests remain ongoing worldwide in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, following the killing of Floyd at the hands of white police officers last month.
