During an appearance on the Everybody vs. COVID-19 livestream, the 'Stan' hitmaker expresses his hope that the locals will take the country's census seriously.

AceShowbiz - Eminem has called on locals in his native Detroit, Michigan to stay strong amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The rapper made a rare statement to fans in the city during an appearance on the Everybody vs. COVID-19 livestream, insisting Detroit folk have more resilience than most.
"Detroit isn't just a city, it's also a feeling, a hustle, a state of mind, but mostly, Detroit is a city where we fight for what we believe in, and we don't take s**t just lying down," the "Stan" hitmaker said, also encouraging fans to take the U.S. census seriously.
"COVID-19 is no different. So we've got some work to do in order to stay safe," he added. "One way is that we have to be counted - and the census is your way to do just that. So this month, we've got to bring the city together, man."
Eminem recently donated "Mom's Spaghetti" to healthcare workers at the Henry Ford Health System Hospital in Detroit. Each pot was labelled with the words "Thank you Frontline Caregivers".
Mom's spaghetti featured in the lyrics to Eminem's "8 Mile" soundtrack hit "Lose Yourself".
