Talking about his experience in helping six-year-old Eric with his studies, the 'America's Got Talent' judge admits he was initially 'concerned' about how the at-home learning would go.

AceShowbiz - Simon Cowell's six-year-old son Eric is giving him a run for his money during the youngster's homeschooling sessions.

The hands-on dad is helping Eric with his studies during the coronavirus lockdown in Los Angeles, but Simon, who left school at 16 with no qualifications, is learning more than his son.

"I wasn't great at school... So now in a weird way he has become like my teacher now," he told Britain's The Sun newspaper. "I am learning more about geography, history or space than I learned when I was at school."

Adding he was "concerned" about how the at-home learning would go, the music mogul admitted: "(Eric) has been absolutely amazing, he is still able to do schoolwork.

"I said to Lauren (Silverman, partner) the other day, 'Is there any way we can keep him this age forever?'," Simon remarked. "I think when they hit six years old it is just that real sweet spot. He is very smart, very, very funny.

"I was worried if he was going to get bored... (But) he has been phenomenal."

Simon and Lauren have been dating since 2013.
