Speaking about his upcoming nuptials to fiancee Katie Peterson, the 'How Do You Sleep?' singer expresses hope that they can go on with their spring 2021 plan amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

AceShowbiz - Singer Jesse McCartney is relieved he passed on the chance to wed his fiancee on the anniversary of their engagement, because the coronavirus shutdown would have wrecked their plans.

The pop star became engaged to Katie Peterson last autumn (19) and the couple considered marking his proposal with a ceremony, but they opted for a spring, 2021 wedding instead.

"We almost pulled the trigger for September of this year, which would have been terrible because it would have had to be postponed," he tells Entertainment Tonight. "Hopefully by next spring we'll be OK."

"I do want an outdoor wedding for sure, and I gotta have live music. I want a huge band... I want the works when it comes to live music. Luckily, one of the first places we saw, we fell in love with. In Northern California, we found an area that we really love, but until we know what's going on with COVID, we can't really set any plans or reserve any dates."
