When filing papers to legally end his marriage to his wife of four years in late March, the 'So Sick' singer ruled out reconciliation as he claimed that their union was 'irretrievably broken.'

AceShowbiz - R&B star Ne-Yo is working on rebuilding his marriage during the coronavirus crisis after withdrawing his divorce papers.

The "So Sick" singer confirmed rumours suggesting he had split from Crystal Renay Smith in February, and in late March, he filed documents in a Georgia court seeking to legally end the 2016 marriage.

At the time, Ne-Yo claimed the union was "irretrievably broken" and ruled out any hope of a reconciliation, but he soon changed his mind, and notified officials he was withdrawing the paperwork, according to The Blast.

Crystal has since confirmed the couple is back together after a brief separation, after sharing footage of the pair playing around at its Georgia home on TikTok.

And when one critic posted a comment on social media urging her to "calm down" as they dismissed Crystal as "just a woman ne-yo with (sic)", the mother-of-two responded with a correction, simply writing, "wife".

Ne-Yo and Crystal share two young sons, Shaffer Smith, Jr., and Roman, while the musician also has two kids with his ex, Monyetta Shaw.
