The retired NBA player has sent a thousand of free pizzas to the key workers during the ongoing coronavirus lockdown at police stations and local hospital in Miami.

AceShowbiz - Dwyane Wade has been supporting frontline workers in Florida by dishing out over 1,000 free pizzas.

According to the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, the former NBA (National Basketball Association) star husband of actress Gabrielle Union partnered with Miami Heat's Udonis Haslem to support key workers amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In association with the 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen, the two gave out meals to two Miami-Dade County police stations, where officers are working to ensure people adhere to lockdown measures in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19.

They also delivered over 200 pizzas to frontline workers at the local Baptist Hospital.

The star is currently self-isolating with his family and Gabrielle told chat show host Jimmy Kimmel earlier this week that, to cope with the lack of sports airing during the pandemic, Dwyane has resorted to watching his past basketball games from his 16-year career.

"The Last Dance, old games, his games, like he doesn't know how they end," she joked, explaining how the pair were occupying their time. "I started watching it and I didn't know how it ended. And he missed these two free-throws at the end of the game and like I didn't want to talk to him for the rest of the night."
