Mark Hatten who was sentenced to nearly 7 years in jail for threatening and stalking the late actress has died following a violent altercation in South Carolina.

AceShowbiz - Anna Nicole Smith's abusive ex-boyfriend has been killed in a shoot-out in South Carolina.
Mark Hatten, who spent time behind bars for threatening the late model and actress and assaulting her neighbour, died on Sunday, May 3, 2020 during an altercation with another man in Greeleyville, according to TMZ.
Hatten and Anna Nicole dated in early 2000 and when she broke off relations he allegedly confronted her with a knife in her home and continued to stalk Smith for two years, according to her testimony in 2002.
He assaulted her neighbour when the man asked Hatten to leave her property.
He was found guilty of making criminal threats against Smith and attacking her neighbour and sentenced to almost seven years in prison.
It is not known what led to the altercation that cost him his life.
