AceShowbiz - Bosses at Disney have released a new line of cloth masks to help raise funds for coronavirus relief efforts.

The organisation debuted the products this week (begins April 27), in a variety of styles featuring characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars franchises.

Alongside the products, which are available for sale, Disney will donate up to $1 million in profits from the sales of the masks in the U.S. to Medshare - an Atlanta-based nonprofit that delivers medical supplies and equipment to communities around the world.

The company will also donate one million face masks to Medshare for children and families in underserved communities across the U.S.

"Disney's donations will make a tremendous impact in the communities we serve," MedShare President and CEO Charles Redding said in a statement.

"Their contribution of one million Disney cloth face masks will be provided to families in underserved communities and organisations working to limit the spread of Covid-19, while their monetary donation will be used to support the medical community’s ongoing efforts to provide lifesaving care to those who need it most."

The masks come in small, medium and large sizes, and feature characters including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, "Frozen (2013)" Princesses Anna and Elsa, "Toy Story" favourites Woody and Buzz Lightyear, "The Avengers", and even "The Mandalorian"'s Baby Yoda.
