Amanda Kloots and her young son Elvis have been staying with the 'Scrubs' actor in Los Angeles as her husband is hospitalized at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

AceShowbiz - Nick Cordero's wife Amanda Kloots and his young son Elvis are living with actor pal Zach Braff as the Broadway star continues to battle a series of health woes following his Covid-19 diagnosis.

The "Scrubs" star, 45, told The Hollywood Reporter the family moved into his guest house "as they were house-shopping in L.A. to make the move out here" when the star fell ill amid the global pandemic.

Speaking about his heartache, after Nick lost a leg to the illness, had a temporary pacemaker fitted, and suffered "serious damage" to his lungs, Zach said, "I am OK, but I'm very close to this."

He added the "Rock of Ages" star's condition is "worse than anyone I've heard of who hasn't passed away."

"He's 41 and he's unconscious at (Cedars-Sinai Medical Center) - he's on a ventilator," the star said. "He's lost his leg due to complications and every day we don't know what will happen."

"So, his wife and baby are living in my guest house, and thank God they've been joined by her amazing brother and sister who are taking care of her and helping her with the baby."

Zach lives at the home with his actress girlfriend Florence Pugh and explained the pair "obviously stay social distanced from them, but we bring them food and wine and flowers."

He went on to call Kloots "amazing" for her handling of the situation, adding, "If you look at her Instagram, she tells stories about him and she motivates other people; she's literally trying to motivate other people."

And he said he hopes his friend's battle with coronavirus alerts people to how serious it is for everyone - not just those labelled as high risk. "I think a lot of people are still under the impression that this is only really dire for seniors," he explained. "But I'm here to tell you that a very, very healthy 41-year-old friend of mine is fighting for his life."
