The 'Best Friend' rapper reveals his scary health scare, claiming he narrowly escaped death and was rushed to hospital when he couldn't get out of the bed.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Young Thug narrowly escaped death after being hospitalised with kidney and liver failure.

The musician opened up about the experience during an appearance on Offset's virtual livestream "Offset and Friends", admitting he almost lost his life during the harrowing ordeal.

"So, I kinda just stayed in the bed and I was like, 'Yo call the ambulance. I can't move my body.' Then later… when the ambulance came, I couldn't get out of the bed," Thug explained. "They had to get me out of the bed basically. I felt like my whole body was numb and I couldn't move. I went to the hospital and I had found out that I had liver and kidney failure. And I kinda had sorta passed away like I kinda died."

After being in the hospital for 17 days, the "Best Friend" star left because his mum "didn't trust it." He went to another hospital, where doctors told him, "Man, you got liver and kidney failure. You supposed to be dead. Basically, you've been dead."

"I've been killed before," Thug, real name Jeffery Williams, added, before going on to play "Killed Before" - his collaboration with Future, on which he sings, "Everyone know I've been killed before."

After finishing his performance, Thug hinted that drugs may have led to his hospitalisation as he told the audience, "Drugs aren't good, don't do drugs."
