In the latest home edition of 'Live With Kelly and Ryan', the 49-year-old co-host confides that she is not on speaking terms with two of her children and that her father has to delay his knee surgery.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Ripa is feeling the full force of the tension caused by coronavirus lockdown. While co-hosting the latest home edition of "Live with Kelly and Ryan", the 49-year-old media personality let her emotions get the best of her as she opened up about her children's refusal to hug her.

During Wednesday, April 8 episode, the wife of actor Mark Consuelos told viewers and co-host Ryan Seacrest about her "little secret" from self-isolation. "My kids, like, won't hug me," she confided. "And I'm like, 'Guys we've all been in lockdown together. We're fine. You can give me a hug. It's fine.' "

The former "All My Children" actress also admitted that she is not on a speaking term with two of her children. "I'm currently not speaking to two of my three kids. I'm not talking to two of them," she stated. "Just because, we're all in the same boat together. I haven't gotten to hug my parents. I want to hug my parents. I miss hugging my parents."

Apologizing for tearing up, Ripa then said, "I don't know why I'm crying. Maybe I'm just going to get my period, who knows. Sorry, sorry." She went on to admit, "Sometimes we forget that we're on. Did I shout that? Did my inner monologue come out? Sorry, didn't mean to do that, didn't mean to do it."

Still, she couldn't help but talk about how COVID-19 further impacted her family. "I feel so bad for my son, Michael, who was supposed to graduate in a couple of weeks. And I really feel bad for my dad who delayed having knee surgery that he can't obviously have now for so many myriad reasons," she shared.

"He was so looking forward to, you know, watching his grandson graduate from college," the mother of three continued. "It was such a big talking point in our house... It was at Yankee Stadium but then his film school, they have a separate graduation, and that was supposed to be at Radio City. So, two such iconic establishments that, you know, we're not going to get to experience."

Nevertheless, Ripa refused to pity herself over such things as she acknowledged there were others who suffered more because of the pandemic. "These are small problems considering that so many people are losing their loved ones and [are] very, very sick," she said. "But it just, it is what it is, you know what I mean?"

Ripa shares three children together, 22-year-old Michael, 18-year-old Lola and 17-year-old Joaquin, with her husband of 24 years, Consuelos.
