AceShowbiz - John Mellencamp has found love yet again. Months after calling it quits with ex-fiancee Meg Ryan, the "Jack and Diane" singer is reported to be dating celebrity skin expert Jamie Sue Sherrill who is famously known as Nurse Jamie.
The 68-year-old musician and his new flame have reportedly been "dating since the beginning of the year." A source told E! News, "They are really happy together." The source additionally mentioned that the rumored couple "are both from the same small town in southern Indiana."
Before their relationship made headlines, Mellencamp and Sherrill appeared to have visited tattoo parlor Evil by the Needle in Bloomington, Indiana together. A tattoo artist at the store allegedly posted a photo of the "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A." on Facebook in February with a caption that read, "Today I tattooed Jamie sue sherrill and she brought John Mellencamp with her for support."
Reports of Mellencamp's newfound romance came months after he and Ryan put an end to their on-and-off relationship. The two started dating in 2011. They got engaged in 2018, she admitted, at the time, she was not in a rush to tie the knot with the "Hurts So Good" singer.
"Yes, I'm going to get married at some point," Ryan told InStyle magazine in an August 2019 interview, adding that her "engagement thing is a state of grace." The following months, she was spotted going out without her engagement ring before words came out that she and Mellencamp broke up for good.
"Meg ended it. It got exhausting for her to deal with," an insider spilled to E! News about the split. "There were too many ups and downs and it wasn't healthy. She just needed to get out and not be in that environment anymore. It's for the best and she can focus on herself for a while. She cares about John but it was time for her to move on. She knows she made the right decision and is happy."
