AceShowbiz - Glastonbury festival bosses have donated medical supplies they collected for this summer's event to coronavirus emergency services.

Father and daughter duo Michael and Emily Eavis gathered up all the hand sanitizer, gloves and face masks they were planning to use to equip security and medical staff ahead of the now-cancelled festival to their local police officials in Avon and Somerset, England and National Health Service staff.

"On behalf of the A&S (Avon & Somerset) Local Resilience Forum we’d like to extend a huge thank you to Michael & @emilyeavis for providing frontline emergency service workers & NHS staff with thousands of litres of hand sanitiser, gloves & face masks due to be used @glastonbury 2020," a statement from Avon and Somerset Police reads.

The 50th anniversary of Glastonbury, which was scheduled to feature headliners Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney, was postponed last week amid ongoing coronavirus fears.
