The 'Boys Don't Cry' actress responds to New York Presbyterian hospitals' decision to not allow expectant fathers and other family members to be present when mothers give birth.

After New York Presbyterian hospitals announced they would ban partners and visitors in delivery room, the "Boys Don't Cry" actress sent her hope that expecting parents would remain "calm."

The 45-year-old addressed the issue as she took to her Instagram account on Monday, March 23. "#pregnantincoronatime I hope all expecting families are finding some calm," she wrote in an accompanying caption of a series of photos that saw her wearing a veil while cradling her baby bump. "Today's news in NY was very distressing for all. #support #prayers."

Sevigny's post is a response to the New York-Presbyterian's new rule that would be active per March 23. "At this time, no visitors including birthing partners and support persons are permitted for obstetric patients," their statement read. "We understand that this will be difficult for our patients and their loved ones, but we believe that this is a necessary step to promote the safety of our new mothers and children."

Sevigny's reaction came months after it was first revealed that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Sinisa Mackovic in earlier January. At the time, the former "Big Love" star stepped out with the director of Karma Art Gallery for New York strolling. They shared a lot of PDAs as he patted her on her stomach. By the time she flaunted her blossoming belly, she was said to be five months pregnant.

In mid-January, Sevigny posted a series of blur photos flaunting her baby bump. While she didn't detail on her pregnancy, she did tagged the father of her unborn child in the post.
