While hosting his SiriusXM radio show 'Drew Carey's Friday Night Freak-Out', the comedian admits to have grumbled about 'high fiving people and risking my life' for the game show.

AceShowbiz - Comedian and TV personality Drew Carey is awaiting the results of a coronavirus test after shooting episodes of U.S. gameshow "The Price is Right" even though he knew he was at risk.

Producers shut the show down last week, ends March 20, but not before Carey grumbled to them about "high fiving people and risking my life".

"The Drew Carey Show" star had only just returned to the show after a hiatus following the murder of his ex-fiancee, Amie Harwick.

"I was bi**hing about every show," Drew said while hosting his SiriusXM radio show, "Drew Carey's Friday Night Freak-Out", "I just got my nose swabbed, so I should have the results next week."

It was Drew's first radio show since he watched Harwick being laid to rest in Pennsylvania on 27 February.

The sex therapist fell to her death from a third-floor balcony in Los Angeles on 15 February, during an alleged fight with former boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse, who has since been charged with one count of murder and one of first-degree residential burglary.

Carey took time to thank fans and listeners, and his SiriusXM "family", for supporting him during his time away from the spotlight.

"A lot of people sent out these messages... It really made a difference," he said. "I really appreciate every single tweet and message. It really meant a lot to me."
