'The Day After Tomorrow' actor has planned to tie the knot with his 26-year-old fiancee, Laura Savoie, at the Staglin Family Vineyard where he filmed the 1998 movie 'The Parent Trap'.

AceShowbiz - Actor Dennis Quaid is reportedly putting his wedding plans on hold, citing travel problems for the delay.

"The Day After Tomorrow" star and his 26-year-old fiancee, University of Texas student Laura Savoie, became engaged in October and the groom-to-be subsequently revealed the couple wanted to exchange vows at the Staglin Family Vineyard - the California winery where he filmed 1998 movie "The Parent Trap" - in 2020.

Quaid did not share a specific date for the nuptials at the time, but it seems the wedding was due to take place soon - and now the pair has opted to delay the event.

A source tells Us Weekly, "Laura and Dennis are postponing their wedding and are telling people it's due to 'travel issues' and not coronavirus."

The marriage will be Quaid's third, after previous unions to Meg Ryan, with whom he shares actor son Jack Quaid, and Kimberly Quaid, the mother of his 12-year-old twins, Zoe and Thomas.

The 65-year-old has yet to comment on the news, which emerged on Friday, March 13 - the same day U.S. President Donald Trump declared the coronavirus outbreak a national emergency.

The leader had earlier ordered a ban on all travellers from mainland Europe, excluding U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and immediate relatives. The restrictions are intended to curb the spread of COVID-19, which has killed more than 40 people in America to date, with over 1,700 confirmed cases.
